New to the Downtown ABQ MainStreet district is La Parrilla Downtown Grill! Owner and chef Victor came to New Mexico 30 years ago and has been sharing his love of Mexican food throughout the state. Victor first brought his talents to Downtown in 2017 as a Downtown Growers’ Market vendor, Senor Tortas. What started as a 10 X 10 booth grew into two 10 X 10 booths, and then a food truck. This mobile business has taken him to Los Alamos, Santa Fe, other farmers’ markets, the State Fair, and provided catering opportunities. After nine years building Senor Tortas, Victor has taken the next step in small business development and opened his own brick-and-mortar in the Downtown core.
No one crafts a burrito in Albuquerque quite like Victor. If you’ve frequented the Downtown Growers’ Market, you’ve seen the line of hungry customers stretching far beyond their booth every Saturday morning. La Parrilla continues Victor’s love of a good burrito, but also includes breakfast items, tortas, burgers, sandwiches, a ribeye steak, and build-your-own tacos, burritos, quesadillas, and tortas.
Located in the One Central building across from the Alvarado Transportation Center, La Parrilla Downtown Grill is an excellent option for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late-night meal. The location is less than a block away from public transit and within a few blocks of Downtown’s vibrant live music, comedy, and theater scene. Bring the whole family and head to a nearby show or improv performance!
