It is SUMMER in Downtown, and we’ve gathered all the spots to cool off, as well as refreshing locations to enjoy some ice cream or a cold beverage. There are options for everyone, with free locations like the Civic Plaza splash pad or paid private pools offering beverages and food. Downtown businesses are also bringing out the seasonal flavors with lots of delicious cold ways to stay hydrated.

ARRIVE Hotel & DWTNR Restaurant
ARRIVE Hotel offers pool day passes to locals with additional amenities. Day passes are $20 each and can be booked HERE.
ARRIVE, and its restaurant, the DWTNR are also hosting pool party events through the rest of the summer. This Sunday, join them for a First Sunday Pool Party, featuring a live DJ and drink specials starting at $10.

Downtown Sports & Wellness
If you’re looking for an indoor option that is more fitness-oriented, check out Downtown Sports & Wellness. This downtown gym offers a wide variety of amenities (including a pool), classes, trainers, and even organizes social gatherings for its members.

Rio Grande Outdoor Pool
Open 7 days a week
Pool sessions are broken up, with some being for lap swim, others for open swim.
Tickets range from free to $3, depending on your age
This year, wrist bands are the new ticket and can be purchased ahead of time online.
Visitors can also purchase wrist bands in person, but plan ahead as this pool can fill up on hot summer days.

Cold Eats & Drinks
Downtown offers a wide range of icy cold eats and drinks to stay cool this summer. Enjoy a frozen lemonade at Java Joe’s, a slushie at the DWTNR, Zendo offers a seasonal affogato this time of year, and most coffee and tea shops have seasonal offerings as well as your regular favorites.
